In a big boost to the travel, tourism and hospitality sections the transport department on Monday announced tax exemption for tourist vehicles visiting Mysuru for Dasara. The exemption is also for Brindavan Gardens in KRS dam in Mandya district.

According to an order issued by the department, inter-state tourist vehicles entering Mysuru, and KRS dam in Srirangapatna taluk of Mandya district are exempted from paying tax till October 24, the day when the Dasara celebrations will conclude. TNN
