Don’t expect any extension of date of filing of GSTAT Appeals

Attention: Trade, Industry, GST Tax payers, Professionals like CAs, CMAs, Advocates, ICAI, Tax Consultant Associations, Tax Bar Associations

The Chennai Brach of GSTAT has already received 300+ Appeal Applications and the number is expected to increase substantially, potentially exceeding 16,000 appeals by 30th June, 2026.

• Scrutiny of Appeal Applications is presently underway.
• Hearing of Appeals is scheduled to commence from 23rd June, 2026
• Last date for filing eligible Appeals is 30th June, 2026

Helpdesk Introduced

A Help Desk has been established and made operational at GSTAT, Chennai Bench to facilitate stakeholders, including Chartered Accountants, Advocates, Authorised Representatives, and Taxpayers, in matters related to filing of Appeals, procedural requirements, case-related queries, and other general assistance concerning the functioning of the Tribunal.

• Stakeholders and other persons requiring assistance may approach the Help Desk during office hours from 2 Pm to 4 Pm on all working days of the Bench.
• The Help Desk is temporarily located at:
  • GSTAT, Chennai Bench, 2nd Floor, Narmada Block, Custom House, 60, Rajaji Salai, Chennai – 600 001.
