Karnataka Bank has gone live in accepting GST payments through UPI. All the GST registered users, including Karnataka Bank customers, can make GST payments seamlessly under this facility.
Karnataka Bank is already accepting GST payments through branches and the internet banking facility on behalf of CBIC. The maximum limit permitted under the UPI mode is Rs. 1 lakh, and there is no upper limit in the internet banking facility for GST payments.
Bank customers are also enjoying seamless payments for Custom Duty Payments and Direct Taxes payments through the branches and internet banking facility.
Srikrishnan H, managing director & CEO said, “This is yet another important step towards digitising our services to provide a secure online mode of payment. Our GST services offer ease and convenience to businesses and consumers for timely payment of their GST obligations.”
Sekhar Rao, executive director, said, “The launch of payment of GST through UPI underpins our commitment to becoming the preferred banker to all sections of society and facilitating ease of doing business. We are optimistic about expanding our CASA base through this initiative.”
