Mysuru Palace Board increased the entry fee for Foreigners to Rs.1,000 per person because of GST

The Mysuru Palace Board has increased the entry fee for foreigners to Rs. 1000 per person, which is 10 times more than the existing Rs.100. The new price will come into effect on Friday.

The palace board attributed the increase in the entry fees to the implementation of GST. However, the board also resolved to provide complimentary access to the footwear stand, luggage road, and toilet facilities.

The entry fee for Indian adults has been increased from Rs.100 to Rs. 120. For children in 10-17 age group, the fee has been raised from Rs.50 to Rs.70. The entry fee for school- and college – going students has been increased from Rs.30 to Rs.50 per person. Children under the age of 10 will continue to enjoy free entry.

Meanwhile, the sound-and-light show at the palace, which was suspended during the Dasara celebrations, will resume on Friday.
