Supriya Life Sciences, Blue Cross Laboratories and Yasho Industries are among half a dozen companies that have received fresh summons in the New Year under the GST regime.

In the last 15 days, more than 60 summons have been issued to companies across sectors including pharma, IT and chemical, multiple industry insiders said. Some of the companies have even approached courts seeking quashing of these summons. “Sending summons is part of the process,” a Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) official told ET.
