Bar Council of India calls for lawyers to resume work

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has urged Bar Associations in Delhi to ensure the continuous operation of judicial proceedings despite the ongoing legal strike opposing the proposed Advocates (Amendment) Bill 2025. BCI Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra stated that the Council engaged in extensive deliberations with the Union Law Minister, the Law Secretary, and senior officials from the Ministry of Law & Justice on February 20, 2025. These discussions provided substantial clarifications and affirmative assurances addressing concerns raised by the legal fraternity regarding the draft bill.
