Karnataka stood third in the country for foreign investments attracted in the first half of the 2024-25 fiscal year, while securing the second position in Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection. Foreign investments amounted to $3.5 billion, according to the government’s Mid-Year Review of State Finances.
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections have gone up by 9.3 per cent so far in the current fiscal 2024-25 to RS. 14.56 lakh crore. In the April-November period of last year, the tax mop-up was Rs. 13.32 lakh crore.

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Sunday said the net GST collection in the state rose by 62.93 per cent in November compared to the corresponding period of last year.
