Akzo Nobel India Limited has received an appeal order against the order of Telangana GST Department demanding Rs.21,85,751/- which has now been reduced to Rs.14,77,341/-, according to an exchange filing.
The paint manufacturing had received a demand order from Telangana GST Department (on 02.01.2024) for the period from July 2017 to March 2020 thereby disallowing the input tax credit under u/s 73 of CGST/ SGST Act, 2017, and containing a Demand of Rs. 21,85,751/- including Rs.1,98,704/- of penalty.
The demand order was challenged, along with the supporting documents within the given time limit.
The Commissioner of Appeals, Telangana GST Department, reviewed the aforesaid appeal and issued an Appeal Order (20.08.2024) as received by the Company on 18.10.2024, containing the Demand amounting to Rs.14,77,341/- including Rs.1,98,704/-
The company is likely to contest the demand order before the relevant authorities within the stipulated time.
