GST DAILY – 321 : Second Special All India Drive Against Fake Registration

On the recommendation of National Coordination Committee, Second Special All India drive against fake GST Registration is being conducted by all Central and State Tax Authorities from 16th August, 2024 to 15th October, 2024

👉 On the basis of big data analysis, department will identify list of risky GSTINS;

👉 If, after detailed verification, it is found that the taxpayer is non-existent and fictitious, then the tax officer may immediately initiate action for suspension and cancellation of registration as per law;

👉 The matter may also be examined for blocking of ITC as per provisions of Rule 86A of CGST Rules without delay;

👉 Suitable action as per law may be initiated for demand and recovery of ITC wrongly availed.
