Guidelines regarding DSC affixation in the Taxpayer communications issued by the Tax Officer

The Office of the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Central Computer Wing Telangana, Hyderabad issued Circular CCT’s Ref. No. CS(1)/06/2016 dated 12.03.2024

Attention of all the officers is invited to the subject cited and they are informed that GSTN has communicated guidelines for upgrading to a newer version of “GSTSigner” to avail the new functionality of affixing Tax officer’s DSC in the Taxpayers Communications and averred that the DSCs working on older version would cease to function w.e.f. 21.03.2024.

In this regard, all the Officers are hereby directed to upgrade the GSTSigner in their Computer Systems with the help of technical staff or their assistants by following the below steps:

1. Visit the URL: https://boweb.internal.gst.gov.in/
2. Navigate to Help > > System Requirements. Under “Downloading and Installing the Web Socket Installer”, click on ‘DSC Registration’ hyperlink.
3. Download the latest version (v3.1) of the GSTSigner software compatible with your operating system.
4. Double-click the download installation file and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the upgrade.

Above Exercise shall be completed by 20.03.2024
