IEC holders are now legally required to update and validate their IEC Details, even if there are no changes, from April to June once every year through Online system, failing which their IEC shall be de-activated and no import or export activity will be possible.

Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) issued Office Order no. 179/2024 – Customs dated 10.10.2024.
CBIC issued Notification no. 25/2024-Customs (ADD) dated 22.11.2024 to impose Anti-Dumping Duty on imports of “Textured Tempered Coated and Uncoated Glass ” falling under Tariff headings 7003, 7005, 7007, 7016, 7020 and 8541 originating in or exported from China PR or Vietnam for a period of 6 Months.
