MCA has introduced a new one time relief window called Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme (CCFS 2026), and honestly many inactive or non compliant companies should seriously look at this.
The scheme is open from 15 April 2026 to 15 July 2026 and is meant to help companies clean up pending filings at a much lower cost.
Key highlights in simple terms:
If your company has overdue Annual Returns or Financial Statements, they can be filed by paying only 10 percent of the additional late fees. This is a major relaxation compared to normal penalties.
Companies that are not actively operating can also apply for Dormant Status at 50 percent of the usual fees, which helps reduce ongoing compliance burden.
If promoters want to close an inactive entity, Strike Off applications can be filed at only 25 percent of government fees, making exit much more practical.
From a governance perspective, this is not just about saving money. It is an opportunity to bring old entities back into compliance, clean historical defaults, and avoid future legal or banking complications.
If anyone in the group has companies with pending ROC filings, inactive private limited companies, or entities that need closure or restructuring, this window can be very useful.
Feel free to reach out if you want to understand whether regularisation, dormant status, or strike off would be the right approach in your case.
