Trade & Taxation Division of Ministry of Steel issued Notice on 10.09.2025 regarding the advance registration period to apply for registration on the Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS) portal for import of all steel products from Sri Lanka. The said time line would as follows:

“Not earlier than 60th day and not later than 2nd day before the expected date of arrival of import consignment”
This will be effective from 11.09.2025.
