About Speaker: CA Arup Dasgupta

He is a FCA, LLB, ACS and CISA ( ISACA, US) And with more than 2 decades of experience and based out of City of Joy – Kolkata.

He has hands on experience in providing opinion & advisory services on indirect tax and company law matters to some of leading corporates and MNCS with presence across India and also from all core sectors, carrying out strategic review of business processes to evaluate the tax implications, undertaking litigation services and appears before the government authorities, Tribunals and High Courts.

After almost 2 decades of practice as a CA, in 2023 he has started his legal practice as an Advocate in the city of Kolkata and is appearing on matters of Indirect taxation and Cyber law before different authorities and also the tribunal and High Courts.

He has published articles in journals of various reputed professional organisations and leading online websites and has an article with view of more than 2 Million.

He has trained students, professionals, senior government officers, professional bodies and trade bodies on GST and other IDT related topics across multiple states in India.

He is passionate about providing solutions to issues faced by trade bodies and has been a partner in it since inception of GST because of which he had the opportunity to represent before the Hon’ble FM Ms N Sitharaman, Revenue Secretary, CBIC Chairman and members, CEO GSTN and other key stakeholders, the issues faced by trade.
