CG GST Joint Commissioner suspended

A joint commissioner of the Chhattisgarh state GST has been suspended for allegedly misbehaving with a businessman and demanding a bribe from him in connection with settling some cases related to the tax.

According to the office of the Commissioner, State GST, Chhattisgarh, a compliant was registered against Joint Commissioner Deepak Giri, who is posted in Division No. 2, Bilaspur, in the State GST.

During the suspension, the Joint commissioner’s headquarters will be the office of the GST headquarters in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, according to the commissioner, State GST.

Sources said that a coaching centre owner in Bilaspur has complained against the joint commissioner, alleging that he had been misbehaved with and that the joint commissioner asked for a bribe.
