Notification no. 42/2025 dated 01.05.2025- Income tax

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) issued notification no. 42/2025 dated 01.05.2025 to further amend the Income-tax Rules, 1962 to prescribe ITR 5

These rules may be called the Income-tax (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules, 2025.

They shall come into force with effect from the 1st day of April, 2025

FORM ITR-5 is prescribed for A.Y. 2025-26
